A few weeks ago I photographed Mastodon for Decibel Magazine. The issue is out now and Im really happy with how it turned out. They ran my photos on the cover as well as a six page spread inside. Check it out in stores now or you can order a copy online by clicking THIS LINK.

Wednesday, August 24th - Jack Layton Memorial
With the news of Jack Layton’s passing, hundreds of people in Toronto made their way down to City Hall yesterday to write messages of thanks in his memory on the pavement near the building.

Thursday, August 18th - City and Colour in Front
Front Magazine did a three page feature on City and Colour last month and used two of my photos of Dallas. The first photo was taken in 2007 in my apartment with my cat Pagoda. You may recognize Pagoda from my photo of Lights sitting on a stool in my portfolio. The second photo was taken at Warped tour a few years ago using a point and shoot camera.

Monday, August 15th - City and Colour
This past Thursday my good friend and fellow photographer Brooks Reynolds directed a music video for City and Colour and I went along to take some behind the scenes photos.
I can’t really post any of the actual behind the scenes photos until the video is done, but I can share this photo I took of Dallas’ wife Leah Miller while she came to visit. 
I decided that it would be a fun idea to take some photos of Dallas with Scott, Dylan, and Dan who play in the band with him.

Saturday, August 6th - Alexisonfire announce breakup
This post is a little bit of a sad one because my good friends in Alexisonfire have officially announced that they are calling it quits after ten years.
Through my photography I have had the good fortune of becoming friends with the guys in Alexisonfire over the past 8 years. In that time I have shot over 40 of their live shows, did still photography on some of their music videos, met their parents and girlfriends, saw them get married, and also enjoyed their music as a fan.
This past November/December I was asked to go on tour with Alexisonfire to document what would end up being their final tour as well as final show shortly after. Im happy to have been given that opportunity and Im glad that even though they are no longer a band I can still call them friends for many years to come.
